CHILDREN PROMOTING FESTIVAL
 
We had organized two day Festival at Halisahar Loko Sankrity Mancha on the 1st day Dr. Nirjharini Chakraborty (MLA & Principal) , Ms. Malabika Bosu (Dancer & Mime Artiste) and Prof. Chanchal Roy (RBU, Drama) were present as guests on the 2nd day Dr.Badhan Sengupta was present as guest. We invited two children’s theatre groups from two districts. “Chupkatha”, Salt Lake, presented play drama , directed by Mss. Doli Basu , “Korak” , Haldia Children Group played Sabujer Janya , directed by Shri Dipendra nath Dey and our own production “VEDUO PARE” was performaned by our  own childrens group , written and directed by Shri Ratan Chakraborty. Bazigar Dilip Mondal with his group also performed Magic, Puppet and Talking Doll in collaboration with “Song & Drama Division” Kolkata.

  

During the year 08-09 
Number of performances have taken places within and outside of West Bengal, Panchkula (Hry), Chandigarh, , Simla Kalibari  , Chandigarh Kalibari, Baddi (Himachal Pradesh) and Pataliputra Mahotsav ,Patna, Bihar. Organised  our 2nd Children Promoting Festival-2008 from 5th May to 6th May-08 (two days).This time performed CPF- Amnie Hae (Mime & Puppet show), RE-AIDS(Health is Wealth)  (Human Puppet) and invited to two children group , Santipur Rangapith & Gobardanga Rupantar and Song & Drama Division , Govt. of India , Dhumketu Puppet Theatre & Ms.Sabita Biswas also performed their productions. Dr. Nirjharini Chakraborty (MLA & Principal) , Dr. Badhan Sengupta and Natyakar Sri Kamal Banarjee etc. inaugurated the Festival.
 
 
 

During the year 2009-10
 
We organized Money collection programme for “Aila” damaged people in the locals trains at Sealdah Station also at Sealdah station area by performing Mime with proper make-up and costumes. We presented “Human Puppet” show to observe the World Anti-Drug Day on 26th June, 2009 organized by Kolkata Police at Sealdah Station . We also performed “ Human Puppet and Mime at Srijani hall in Shantiketan , Birbhum organized by Eastern Zonal Cultural Centre (EZCC) , Salt Lake , Govt. of India The show was very much appreciated by the audience. We donated many shirts to (12) twelve local rickshaw drivers last two years.  “ALOR KHONJJE” (Against Drug-Abuse), VAGYA LAXMI PUTUL NAACH PARTY” (Human Puppet) and mime are the new productions of Rangtal Theatre. The scripts are written and directed by Shri Ratan Chakraborty. 
 
Number of performances has taken places within and outside of West Bengal, Kalka, Panchkula (Hry), Chandigarh Kalibari, Baddi (Himachal Pradesh). Last three years we have been performing at these places. They have really pleased and appreciated by the audience. Astha Nursing Home had invited us for entertainment programme as a World Child Day on 14th November, 2009 at Kalyani, Nadia. We presented “Muppet” show to observe the World Aids Day on 1st December, 2009 organized by Manicktala ESI Hospital & Kolkata ESI Corporation, at Manicktala ESI Hospital, Sealdah ESI Hospital and ESI Corporation places of Kolkata. Participated in Silver Jubilee 25th Patliputra Natya Mahotsav-2010 from 7th February to 12th February at Patna, Bihar. Performed Mime Drama (Tishra Number). Written by Sri Sandip Niogi and Directed by Sri Ratan Chakraborty. 

 

During the year 2010-11
 
We presented “Street Mime” Show and Cycle rally to observe the World Anti-Drug Day on 26th June, 2010, organized by Kolkata Police at North 24Parganas .We had organized 1st National Cultural Festival-2010 from 17th September to 19th September, 2010, at Halisahar Lokosankrity Bhawan, 24PGS. (N) , W.B. collaborated with Ministry of Culture,  New Delhi, Govt. of India. Young people received training from our Institution and students in the field of Theatre and mime; They were given special training in our Institution. We invited 4 (four) experts in the field of art, Dance, Pranayam, Yogasana, Puppet, Mime and Light & Design. As guest lecturers for the during students and trainees and seminar also discussed for their participate.  We had performed mime & Human Puppet shows as a Bengali Festival (Durga Puja) at Burdwan  & Kolkata. We invited for entertainment programs specially for 14th November, 2010 of World Children Day at City Centre-1 & City Centre-2, Kolkata & Rajarhat, Organized by Hangout Co. Kolkata. and performed Human Puppet shows (Orao Pare) on 3rd December, 2010 World Handicapped Day at North Bengal regarding Sarbo Siksha Abhijan , organized by Education Dept. Govt. of West Bengal. We had invited for mime shows on 31st December, 2010 at Beach Festival of Puri, Urissa, organized by FUNTIME. Performed awareness programs like Pulse Polio, Hygiene etc. at Slum area in Kolkata, organized by NGO.
 
 

During the year 2011-12
We had performed Human Puppet shows “Swami Vivekananda” on 12th April, 2011 for National Integration at Mandarmoni, Mednapur. We had performed awareness program Human Puppet show on 26th June, 2011 near Sealdah Station, against World Anti Drug Abuse Day, organized by Narcotics Drug Dept. of Lalbazar Police. Last 8th November, 2011 our new production “SAMAY NASTO KORONA” , written by Padmasree Suresh Dutta (Puppeteer) and directed by Sri Ratan Chakraborty , collaborated with Ministry of Culture , Govt. of India, New Delhi at Khudiram Bose Institute , Kanchrapara, North 24 Parganas and we have organized 2nd National Cultural Dhamaka Festival-2011 from 1st Dec. to 4th Dec. (four days) collaborated with Ministry of Culture , Govt. of India, New Delhi at Halisahar Loko Sanskrity Bhawan.  Participated from Kerala, Manipur, Assam, Mumbai, Jalpaiguri and local groups from West Bengal. We have done awareness programmes Human Puppet & Mime from 24th Dec to 25th Dec. 2011 at Chhayanat Club, 24Pgs. (S) , 8th January at Barasat, 14th January to 15th January at Behala Parnosree, Kolkata, 24th January at Ashokenagar, North 24 Parganas, 28th January  to 31st January at Mednapur (East) and 12th February , 2012 at Kankinara Book Fair through “Song & Drama Division , Ministry of Broadcasting, Govt. of India. Last 4th January and 24th February, 2012 , we have performed human puppet shows regarding Traffic Rules Week , organized by Kolkata Police and West Bengal Police at Kadamtala , Baraipur and Behala Police Station. We have performed “Thakur Sree Sree Ramkrishna” , Human Puppet show, organized by Dhumketu Puppet Theatre on 20th March , 2012 at Calcutta University Institute Hall.
 

During the Year 2012-2013
 
Year passes on we venture big and progress gradually. The current year our activities expended during the year.
 
On 11th April we presented both Mime & Human Puppet shows at “Sarbajonin Chhistya Mela” held at Mandarmoni , Mednapur , West Bengal organized by MANC State Committee. The programme was so attractive a large member of audience appreciated very much.
 
We presented our this year’s New Production “Krishna Kanta” in human puppet play depicting the character of Kestha adopting the human famous poem “Puratan Vritya” (The old servant)of Rabindranath Tagore on 29.05.2012 at Pally Unnyan Samity, Halisahar Battala, North 24 parganas, W.B. The programme was very much appreciated by the spectator. During the months together we had been performing the shows for awareness generation programmes on Health issues through Human Puppet, sponsor by the Song & Drama Division, Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, Govt. of India in different districts of West Bengal. 
 
On 27th Sept, 2012, we performed a “Human Puppet” Drama of “Swami Vivekananda” at 24 Parganas (South) on a call show. The programme was applauded by the audience very much. On the occasion of Durga Puja Festival, we were invited for performing Human Puppet shows from the Ludhiana and Punchkula where we presented our New Production in Modern Chow Dance and Mime combined “Durga Durgati Nashini” as well as other mime presentations on 22nd & 23rd October, 2012. It was a very successful programme and our performances were highly acclaimed by the audience of outside, West Bengal.
 
In connection with “World’s AIDS day” on 3rd December , 2012, we presented show on AIDS in “Human Puppet” organized by ESI Hospital , Manicktala, Kolkata and the presentation was very much appreciated by all Besides AIDS we performed a good number of awareness programmes on Dengue , Malaria, Right to Information, National Integration and Environment protection . In connection with 150th Birth Anniversary of Swami Vivekananda. We presented a Human Puppet Drama on Swami Vivekananda’s Teachings, which was presented at Santiniketan High School , Bolpur district and the Mime Festival on 19th January, 2013 at Rabindra Bhawan, Asansol alongwith Mime Programmes. We were invited to perform the shows there on invitation from Amiya Memorial Creative Art at Asansol. 
 
Besides Health Awareness programme earlier, we performed other social awareness programmes in collaboration with Song & Drama Division, Ministry of I & B. Govt. of India in different districts of West Bengal.
 
We, on invitation, performed dramas through human puppets, Mime and Recitation with Mime at Rabindra Bhawan , Bahrampur, Murshidabad on 2nd March, 2013 , organized by CESC’s (WBSEB) recreation Club.
 
On the occasion of World Women Day on 8th March, 2013, we presented through Human Puppet on Education of Women at Singur, Hooghly District of W. Bengal. Supported by the Song & Drama Division , Govt. of India besides others performances of Human Puppet regarding Hygiene duly supported by the same Division . We have also performed many road shows of awareness programmes at various places, both rural and urban areas of west Bengal duly supported by the Song & Drama Division. 
 
  

FESTIVAL (1st Day)
 
As the inaugurator Sri Roy could not attend for his preoccupations Padmasri Suresh Dutta and other guests lighted the ceremonial lamp to inaugurate the function. All the guests were felicitated with flower bouquets and mementos.  They all delivered the lectures and praised the “Rangtal Theatre” for their endeavors in the healthy pursuits of culture away from cheap electronic  media cultural highlights , which are not conducive to the society. 
 
Next, Rangtal Theatre gave Talent Awards for extraordinary exposition of cultural talents at Hilisahar in Dance to Smt. Priyadarshini Chattapadhya & Smt. Poushali Bhattacharya and Dramatist Sri Tirthankar Chanda, who could not attend for his busy schedule.   
 
On the 1st day the dance was staged by Kumari Reshmi Malakar, Sri Ratan Chakarborty presented a solo Mime with a vocal music. Chakraborty is a noted Mime & Human Puppet artiste of fame and the Secretary of the Rangtal Theatre . Next gloves puppet show was presented by internationally famed village artiste Sri Basanta Ghorui. All the programs were highly acclaimed by audience.
 
After that , the Drama “ Bhoot Puran” was staged by Gobardanga Shilpayan duly directed by Sri Ashis Chattapadhya.
 
The next presentation was from the organizer team “Rangtal theatre “ A human Puppet Drama adopted from Tagore’s poem “Puratan vritya” –as “Krishnakanta”. The drama was acclaimed by the audience very much.
 
The last programme was the presentation of band Music. It was presented by highly acclaimed in Doordarshan.”Colours Channel “India talent search Sanjoy Mondal & Group. His speciality is he improvises to make various musical instruments out of rejected meterials from plastic water bottle to containers of paints etc.
  
The last but one presentation was from the organization “Theatre Combine”  of Tirubanatapuram, Kerala. The varieties Mime drama was performed ,directed by Praveen Kumar.
 
 
FESTIVAL 2nd Day
 
In the main programme of the Festival, the presentations of puppet and of Talking Doll were made by Dhumketu Puppet Theatre of Kolkata. They presented both String Puppet and Rod Puppet, the themes were “The Flower Girl” and on “National Integration”along with other Puppet’s. Moreover, the Director of the organization Sri Dilip Mondal handled a Talking Doll in such a deft and skilful manner the audience enjoyed the full shows with much jeal and appreciation. 
 
Next programme was by the “Sristi Mime ofJalpaiguri, West Bengal. They presented the mime drama The drama was a very sensitive and artistic presentation. The drama was very much appreciated by the audiences .
 
The presentation was from the Delhi Ghaiziabad area by .Delhi Classical Theatre , directed by Sri Bhumikeswar Singh . The drama “Do Bailo Ki Katha”. It was a very good presentation and was appreciated by the audience.
 
 
 FESTIVAL (3RD DAY)
 
On 15th of December arranged our Function in Continuation of the above at “Sisir Mancha” in Kolkata where Padmasree Suresh Dutta, Sri Siba Prasad Das and Sri Tapas Mukharjee inaugurated the function were present as Guest. After their short deliberation the “Rangtal Theatre presented the Tagore based dramatized in poem “Puratan Vritya” as Krishnakanta in “Human Puppet and Dhumketu Puppet Theatre show with talking Doll.
The programme was highly appreciated by the audienc.
